"fake meat" does not require an animal to be killed :P

That's a story meat-eaters like to tell themselves, the truth is vegetarians learn to cook grain, and other sources of proteins, tofu is an old culinary tradition.

Absolutely ... I totally agree with you.

I go through stages where I eat meat (only white meats) and times when I eat veg *only*. I do this by choice, but I can eat veg's for months and not miss the taste of meat; when I don't eat meat, I don't eat it and I don't want to 'simulate it' either. It really puzzles me when ardent vegatarians want to 'simulate' eating what it is they are so fanatical about *NOT* eating ... LOL
Not all vegetarians eat fake meat. For some it's psychological. Meat is seductive. Especially the smell of grilled meat. For those of us who don't want to ingest it the fake stuff is great. By the way, there's hardly any real meat in real meat anymore.
