because the media makes them look larger than life. And they have egos that unfortunately make us believe it.

But like I tell everyone else: the truth is we are all children of God and one day the truth will come out. What a day that will be! And I am sure there are people in all walks of life on stage and not on stage who realize this.

Wow I am changing my answer, even if it meant sacrificing a thumbs up on it, and here it is:

drix said it all. What an unfair world this is. But like I said in my previous answer...and the way my mom would say it....mark my words...the day is coming...

A quote from Fight Club that seems appropriate.. 'All the ways you wish you could be, that's me. I look like you wanna look, I **** like you wanna ****, I am smart, capable, and most importantly, I am free in all the ways that you are not..'

i do think we idolize them because they do appear bigger in what they do in their line of expertise such as movies or sports or tv. To be honest, i've met many celebrities since i was in the restaurant business, and they are normal people just like you and me as long you treat them that way. I've never drooled over celebrities.

We? lol..No ..maybe a few?

Those of us who do, are fulfilling a fantasy. Their own quiet and simple lifestyles would leave them unfulfilled unless they could share the fame or fortune of the glitterati by vicariously living out their lives.
