It's summer, it's hot. What's the point of doing a full face of makeup if it will sweat off after being outside for 20 minutes? Other than that scenario, when did it become a standard to have to wear it to be considered beautiful?

because they may have the naturally long dark lashes and rosy cheeks as well as flawless skin others wish for. some people also don't know how to apply it without looking gaudy so they try to avoid it.

Why must a women cover her natural beauty with artifice? If that's your preference, do it. But it ain't for me.

Not many here use mascara or lipstick...it's pretty casual beach environment. That is unless it's going out at the Gaslamp, then it's a freak show-lol

I can't speak for other women, but I am allergic to makeup. Yes, even they hypo-allergenic stuff. I can wear makeup for a day, then have to deal with my face peeling and flaking for a week or two afterwards.

Kiansi, if you like make-up, try beauty products from the chemist. I like make-up too and usual stuff makes my face peel and flake or go very red. The chemist's stuff is beautiful.
