It's summer, it's hot. What's the point of doing a full face of makeup if it will sweat off after being outside for 20 minutes? Other than that scenario, when did it become a standard to have to wear it to be considered beautiful?

because they may have the naturally long dark lashes and rosy cheeks as well as flawless skin others wish for. some people also don't know how to apply it without looking gaudy so they try to avoid it.

I can't speak for other women, but I am allergic to makeup. Yes, even they hypo-allergenic stuff. I can wear makeup for a day, then have to deal with my face peeling and flaking for a week or two afterwards.
