Why do you answer questions you have no belief in or interest in?

I have noticed many people give answers to question they either do not believe in like religion or spirtuality or dreams or do not know anything about. Why would you answer a question just to put a stupid remark down about thier question. there are pleanty of silly question to do this with, why be insensitive to others and very disrespectful. And some who do it complain because others do not respect their questions and answers, hypocrites.

some questions warrant a silly answer others just have different opinions and some people cannot be serious and cannot be expected to be. I don't take it personally ask a silly question get a silly answer. I do tend to try to stay serious when im answering a serious question but just because some one has asked something doesn't mean i have to take it seriously and sometimes i just like to lighten the mood in a group. You do have to also remember that there are under 18's here!. Not that im saying all the silly answers are from kids. Also there are some people here who have serious mental issues and when they read stories that they see as trivial and borderline daft they cannot help but add a negative comment as they probably feel they have real issues in their life that are real serious and its the pettyness of the subject that gets them adding comments like that....

Stupid remarks are a part of life, and the internet. Don't stand in the rain and expect not to get wet.

And yes..there is the delete button.

We are simply giving our opinion, nothing wrong with that. Not disrespectful at all, if they do not like the answer, there is a delete button.

I know nobody wants a whole can of negative ******* answers to a serious question. But sometimes giving negative attention is better than no attention at all.

If I wanted serious answers to a question, but all I got was silly or mean answers; I'd think of a way to ask better next time. If I got no answers at all, I think that'd be worse.

If people only responded to questions they were in complete agreement with, there would be nothing new, and very little point. If it's asked of a diverse community (and these are) then the answers should (or at least could be) equally diverse. If I ask a question, I want to hear a variety of opinions. If I get ones I don't like, I just don't listen to those. It's simple. I don't see any reason to be censoring. and this isn't the type of community to be exclusive in. If you don't want a variety of opinions, then ask a more limited crowd. There's plenty of them, it's not hard to find.

Just because they aren't in agreement, doesn't mean they are "mocking" the question, or the asker. Also, if I weren't interested in a question, i just wouldn't answer. If I answer, I'm interested enough to speak up. But that by no means, is a requirement that i have to agree to respond.

What you're complaining about are answers which don't seem to "fit" because their opinion is far different from the asker's. There's nothing wrong with that though. Since when did variety and differences of opinion become a bad thing?

Gee, saying you don't believe in something is an answer, whether you like it or not. I also think that sarcasm is a result of asking stupid questions, like I think the Sun revolves around the Earth? Come on, that is just asking for sarcasm.

When you throw a question out to the 'general audience' expect a few hecklers...
