Because some people from other countries base their opinions on what they see on TV, in the movies and in US politics. Most don't personally know an American.



Americans .. all 300 millions of us .. are mostly just regular folks who work hard and love our families ...



People might hate US politics .. but that's not Americans themselves.

Foreigners are just as prone to propaganda as Americans are. It's always easier to believe the bad things you hear about others, especially when everyone around you is spouting the same lies/gossip.
