For me it would be from a lack of self care. When I feel empty and all used up it is an indication that I need to rest and look after myself. This question could be the start of caring for yourself and resting a little to regenerate yourself. Loving and caring for yourself is so important:)

Thank you. This is what I am doing right now as I realized that I cared a lot for others but forget to love myself.

When I feel empty, it is because my heart knows it is lacking something essential to my wellbeing; it is lacking something which is dependent upon my very survival.

I must agree with you. I have travelled a lot, happy with my career...but at the end of the day I am still alone in my room.

My father was the only person that treated me like I mattered and was the only person that cared about me and when he died I just became hollow. Havent felt anything since.

Thank you so much. My father is also the only person in this world that cared for me and loved me unconditionally. Unfortunately, he passed away about 2 years ago. I can say that I have not fully recovered from his death.

I can say the same thing. Dad died July 24th 2010. He came home on hospice care and everyone said that I had plenty of time to see him and not to worry yet. He died that night. By the time I got there it was too late and I beat myself up everyday for it.
