Why do you like to get tattoos or piercings?

It's body art, pure and simple. I think it is one of the most beautiful things in the world.

I had my ears and eyebrow pierced several times when I was younger but I let them all fill in because im supposed to look all respectable like at the places I work now.

I have one tattoo that a friend did on me with a gun he made out of a remote control racecar motor. I haven't got anything since because I haven't figured out anything meaningful yet and I don't want to be just another douchebag with some trendy kanji **** or some tribal band.

THat is ridiculous!....One way to stay on the Dole Line!

Tattoos are a huge put off!

it is literally addictive......it's not just a kid thing or hear say....any tattoo artist will tell you the same thing......it really is addictive.......granted there are those who have really bad experiences and never do it again.....most people that get a GOOD tattoo or piercing will be back for more.......personally i have in total 10 piercings and 3 tattoos......my tattoos will all be blended into one magnifecent traditional style back piece when i'm done.........i'd say i'm addicted and LOVING it.......all the while my face is still cute(as in it's not covered in metal), and all of my ink can be covered when i want!

I got several tattos in my 20's cause it seemed the cool thing to do.My friends were into it.
Even th I'm almost 60 I have flirted with the idea of a belly button piercing!

I can see a tattoo or a piercing like maybe the tongue but an entire face of either is psychotic

I must be like mzdivine,I've never been into body mutilation. But everyone to their own cup of tea.

It's a way of self-expression. At times in my life, I get tattoos that are meaningful for me-reminding me of things that I don't want to forget and helping me define myself. It's also body art. I see my own body as a canvas. And my tattoos make me unique and beautiful.

Clearly tattoos and piercings are for those with image issues! There has to be a reason why someone would wish to cover their body either in hideous bits of metal or ugly, bruise like markings! I was sitting in my car this morning waiting for my son, when a very attractive lady walked by, that is until I noticed the tattoos on her arms, why oh why oh why spoil such a lovely creation with ugly markings like that? It's tantamount to vandalism!
