An Israeli man has asked for political asylum in the West Bank areas administered by the Palestinian Authority (PA) after turning himself over to security forces.
The Palestinian Ma’an News Agency reported that Andre Beniron surrendered himself to Palestinian security guards in the West Bank city of Tulkarem on Monday.
According to the report, Beniron, 23, sought temporary political asylum and protection while trying to find a way to leave Israel.
Beniron told Ma’an that he had immigrated to Israel from Russia 20 years ago and lived with his mother in Haifa. He also complained about his difficult financial conditions while living in Israel.
However, reports indicated that Palestinian officials handed him to the Israeli military on the same day.

Apparantly he wants to leave Israel and doesn't know how to go about it. Probably he wants to leave through Palestine to not get checked by Israelian authorities, so I think he's afraid of getting arrested. There can be many reasons for that. Maybe he's published information, maybe he's with an organisation they don't take well to, maybe he's not supposed to travel because of official ties to the government (access to classified information) there can be many reasons.Like (1)

I could only guess that he would ask for asylum because he is a spy working for the people of Palestine.
