Why do you think so many people hate Twilight?

I didn't like the book. The movie didn't wow me, but I thought the photography was gorgeous, and the directing and editing was wonderful. But it seems odd to me that so many people ether LOVE it or really HATE it, why do you think that is? Or do you think I'm imagining it lol?

People don't really hate Twilight, they hate the people who are so intensely into Twilight. Why they hate those people are for the same reasons most haters spew their bile: they are jealous of the intensity of feelings people who become deeply entrenched fans get to feel. The euphemism they use for what amounts to jealousy is "I hate you and your stupid Twilight obsession."

ActaNonVerba71	Posted Oct 22nd, 2009 at 9:26PM To me, it seems like some goofy, shallow "oh he's dreamy" teenage girl stuff. Then, there's the fact that the trailer (at least for the second one) looks like some homoerotic Hollister or Abercrombie ad. Then, listening to females, even supposedly older mature ones, swoon and cackle over it like some junior high girls at a slumber party is just plain annoying. Rated: +3Vote for this!

The movie hardly did the book justice, but I think its just one of those things that get blown out of proportion that you get negative feed back about it. Kinda like the way I still question why Lindsey Lohan is still on the news and magazines? You get tired of hearing about it. Rated: +1Vote for this!

I've read all the books, and I like the concept I just felt they weren't very well written. The film was ok, the second and third I'm more looking forward to as I prefered these books.
