Why do you think soccer is the greatest sport in the world?

I am really a soccer girl!!!
Sorry that I forget this is an American website, but in China we do think Soccer(we call it football 足球) is the greatest sport in spite of the terrible performance of our national team.

Also, soccer is one of those sports that does not discriminate...you can be any physical stature or economic level, and still play....rich or poor....Not only that, when you are playing for the world championship, you are really playing the WORLD!!! I dont know whats about I dont know the rules, I only saw it in some US-movies and I think its the one of the most brutal sports as box or so, in the world, not best. triteamdan	Posted Nov 13th, 2009 at 11:56AM Because it was introduced all over the world by the then British empire. That really is the only reason. People in those colonies were taught that particular game and now it is a tradition all over the world. I enjoy playing soccer, but you have to admit it is the most boring game to watch. conceptualclarity	Posted Nov 9th, 2009 at 12:11PM Soccer sucks. Typical scores: 1-0,2-0,0-0,2-1,1-1. You get to watch players jump in the air to hit the ball with their head over and over again, and 99.99% of the time it doesn't make any difference which guy succeeds in heading the ball. The only reason soccer has the popularity it has is it got established around the world before other more exciting sports like basketball, baseball, and American football got exported. Even hockey is more exciting than soccer. Rated: +1Vote for this!

It's a huge money spinner at the expense of the so-called supporters who are daft enough to pay huge amounts of money so that the clubs can spend even more money on players who have no morals what so ever. Oh but you asian women spend all your time looking at footbalers dont you- we all know how beckham spent his free time in the world cup in Tokoyo! Football is meat to be a sport not an enterprise.
