They don't. There are individual cases where two people got to know each other because of circumstances and came to realize this other person was awesome and they didn't care about age. There are those stories. There may be other instances of looking for a parental figure (Don't take advantage of those poor girls!)
But in general, they don't.

The young girls are innocent and think that older guys consider them mature. The older guy is either perving them.. or mentally can not deal with his age of women. There are those that meet in the middle I admit.. but I would not cross that line

Because they are more mature...for the most part...women are ready to settle down and find love earlier than men so they have to find an older one that is ready....though not too much older or its just creepy
