well its complicated every situation is different but for sure they want you to know they are capable of finding someone else--

i think they do this to either say, hey i moved on already, you haven't. or to say, look at how much better i can do than you. or to even make you want to get back with the ex. it's clever scheme.
or maybe you're imagining it because in a way you might want them back and can't help but feel you're seeing the new couple everywhere.
