They don't. Plenty of people don't want kids.

I think it's only natural to want to keep the human species going.

Human instinct for females. For males.. A hard on. All comes down to nature.

I can't speak for all guys, but I wanted to become a dad so I could use the phrase, "Who's your Daddy?" in a non-sexual context....

I can't speak for anyone else, but I knew, from the time I was very young, that it was my destiny.

Interestingly enough, I am the only member of my father's side of the family who bothered having kids, besides my dad himself. The family line would have completely died off, if I hadn't had children.

I don't at all, never have. Ended several relationships because I wasn't into having kids. One of my best friends has been married 16 years and he and his wife don't ever want kids. My last GF didn't want kids ever in her life either.
