brimliner	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM Growing up we called this setting on the toaster the "board bread" setting. LOL!! The opposite extreme was the "warm bread" setting. (because it really wasn't even toast). Rated: +1Vote for this!

Waiwera	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM I suppose the designers of toasters felt that near the end of the toaster's life it might get a bit tired and have to be turned up - so they made them able to be turned up a bit more than normal... Would work better in a brown-out as well... :-) Rated: +1Vote for this!
