Why does God only answer my prayers if he feels like it, or if it is already in his 'will'? Isn't prayer useless, then?

I hate to break it to you, but prayer is just a fancy way of talking to yourself.

I don't do prayers anymore. I have answered them promptly up until WWI. I answered prayers during and after WWII where I saw great needs. I stopped answering prayers in 1966 during the Cold War. This kind of intervention just did not seem to pay off with humans on Earth at all, I am sorry.

First of all you must ask the right question. What is the purpose of prayer? Prayer is a means of which one communicates with God. Prayer is an act of obedience that a believer performs. God is not a menu order from. There are right ways and wrong ways to pray. If you see God as Santa Clause your going to be disappointed. God does not exist to serve you. You exist to serve God. Christian's are taught the Lord's prayer as the perfect example of the way are to approach prayer. Christians pray for things but should also be saying Thy will be done. God always answers prayers. It could be yes no or wait but He always answers and as believers we should be willing to accept His answer. Keep in mind God knows what we ask before we ask it.

God, hears all your prayers. Read the bible.. Become a better Christian. God created us. The book we need to live by is, the Bible. God hears all of your prayers. He might not answer then right away, patience. God has a life planned out for you.Are you a true believer? Or do you just call upon him when you need something?! He knows what you need... He knows what you want... He knows everything about you. Read Matthew 7:7-8...

If you accept the concept of a god then you have to accept whatever he/she does or does not do because you can't understand his/her reasons, being merely mortal.

Prayers are always heard. But, some are not getting approved, so you think, its not being answered. Have faith, the only one that can help you in any situation is God. trust and think positive, you don't know what people are thinking..how can you know what God is thinking? Yes, we all have certain prayers that were never realized, but then..there were others that got done.

If everyone got what they prayed for, they'd be doing it all the time cause they'd always be getting what they wished for.. If everyone got what they wished for, the world would be chaos lol
