Why does it seem that so many Muslims are hypocrites?

I mean, "religion of peace" and we have them blowing themselves up all over the world, almost on a weekly basis in some places. Why did Muhammed say, "The morning after the murder of Ashraf[Jewish Poet who criticized Muhammed], the Prophet declared, ‘Kill any Jew who falls under your command." In his later years, "Muhammad's personal life became the picture of hedonism and excess, all justified by frequent “revelations” from an increasingly arbitrary and capricious god. In his later years, he frequently used his influence for purely personal goals, including sé x, wealth and power. Allah's authority for him to pursue these earthly ambitions is even immortalized in the Quran (suras 33 and 66, particularly)." Why does Allah say, "“Hell” will take care of the poor fellow's orphaned daughter (Ishaq 459)." Why does Muhammed order assassinations? I am honestly curious why Atheists overlook these things and attack Christians instead. How/why are the aforesaid acts morally just?

Jesus never said any of the above, nor did he do any of the aforementioned things. Try again.

Also, how about answering how the aforesaid are justifiable, instead of running to the red herring.

I cant talk for other athiests but i personally find all religions and its cultist, elitist hypocrisy and dogma ridiculous, primitive, self serving and dangerous. Not to mention a load of shabbite.

So why do you target Christians on these forums, as opposed to the religion who had a prophet who actually DID immoral things?

I cant recall targetting christians only. i have always used the term 'gods' or 'your god'. If i have reason to single out christianity it would be for a precise point attached to their doctrine.

I have a Muslim friend that says the same thing. He says that a lot of people distort the Quran for their own purposes.

Atheists aren't overlooking the Muslims, nor are they targeting Christians. What they are doing is defending logic, reason, critical thinking, freedom of information, freedom of speech, and the separation of superstitious dogma from human rights and governance that will equally serve all, not just those who "believe". If, in the case of the United States, the Muslim community was actively trying to subvert the political process and violate the laws with as much gusto as the Religious Right, they would be challenged at every turn as much as Bible thumpers are. As far as hypocrisy goes, Jesus was very clear what Christians were supposed to do (“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”) and (Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.) with (For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.) thrown in for good measure. Yet, all I ever hear from Evangelicals is "GOD HATES _______." which is used to justify them hating _________. Fill in the blank with your favorite hater flavor of the week.

I don't know what you're listening to then and it's easy to hypothesize what "may" happen. People hear what they want to hear. You realize that you just insulted religious people when unprovoked, right? Also, you just made an absurd blanket statement about Republicans.

you can't use your personal/life experiences to justify everybody within that one particular culture, and muslims/Islam aren't the only people who force religion upon others.....point being you cant just judge them and have an automatic opinion or else you will always see them as a collectivist and not an individualist.....yes some are bad but where there is bad there is also good....and they are already discriminated and sterotyped enough as it is due to people just make they minds up without bothering to know the person.

You lack knowledge, you don't know anything about Islam but I agree with you in one thing, I hate those who blow up themselves, in Islam using, killing or hurting children, older people, women, defenseless people ,burning or cutting three, male treat of prisoner are forbidden even in war and if he kills himself he will go to hell straight ahead, but those are not real Muslims

Instead of saying "you lack knowledge" explain the assassinations ordered by Muhammed, explain the "hell will take care of your daughter" quote, explain how Muhammed's excess séxual appetites are moral, explain how massacring Jewish people is moral. Explain the ambiguous phraseology used in the Quran when it was ordered that swords should be taken up against the "unbelievers". Regardless, Muhammed was once again promoting violent action.

"hell will take care of your daughter" I never encounter that phrase and I have doubt that it exist in the first place, and you toke a part and ignore the other, Muslims does not have the right to force someone into their religion and they have only the right to defend themselves against any foreign attack by the rules I said earlier, read to learn from the source before judging anybody.

I agree completely, but yet athiest's have no right to attack any religion; I don't shove my beliefs down there throat yet they want to say all Catholics try and force there views upon people.

But on the Muslims, they've also tried to cover up the hidden truth about the wars with the Templars and the reason that the church had fallen into action. So many people try to hide that fact and tear it out of history books, this is the world trying to hide yet another imperfection humanity has idioticly blundered into.

    Everyone is a hypocrite. Everyone.
But I do know Muslims who go against their religions. I know Christians who go against the teachings of the bible, and I know atheists who say one thing one day, and something that negates it the next.
    It's everyone.
