Resolved Question

Why does it tear me apart?

So my exboyfriend turned out to be a using lying manipulative asshole... I left him. Why do I still cry about it? Why do I still feel like I love him? Why do I feel like I hate him at the same time? Why is it that I am either numb, or completly taken over by all these feelings for him and cannot seem to get over it?

Emotions tend to lag behind sense ... its just the hangover of the good bits ... breaking up is never black and white and emotions seem to take AGES to get the memo from the head ...

You loved him and he destroyed your trust, of course you would be upset. It's going to take a lot of time to put this behind you. You will heal and move on and always remember karma will come around and bite him in the ***.

It will get better with time. Time heals everything. Right now it hurts so bad because you never ever expect someone whom you think loved you to hurt you but guess what......that's reality. It happens everyday. Don't let some man ruin your life and make you feel this way. You have to have more self-respect for yourself. When I broke up with my ex-boyfriend for the first time it was sooo hard and I was a mess. Then one morning I got up, got my walkman and started to walk. That was my strength. I made a choice that day and that was to never ever have a man make me feel that way again. Good luck!

This is NORMAL, and time will make things better. Try to stay busy. It is a fact that mind cannot think a good thought and a bad thought at the same time, so when you think of HIM, quickly replace the thought. NEVER go back to him.

Just give yourself time to heal, sometimes it takes a lot, but you will go on with your life....and one day you may even be able to say "thank you" to this guy, cause I'm sure you learned a great lesson from that experience, and it will help you make better decisions in the future....just my opinion based on my experience. : )
