Why does Mcdonalds breakfast end so early?

First of all, Mcdonalds is the only place that breakfast ends at 10:30. Second, I have had it happen to me numerous of times that when I get to the drive thru at 10:25, they say breakfast is over. Is there someone that works or has worked at mickey d's that knows this? I dont know why it bothers me so much. I guess i'm just feeling jipped when I hurry up to get there on time and i have 5 minutes left but they already ended breakfast. Am I alone in this?

They end it for numerous cost reasons. And McDonalds typically has the smallest staff size of most fast food joints. It is a multi-tasking issue.

But the time is because they do the bulk of their business from 10:30 am to about 12:30 pm from workers. Construction, plumbers, field workers etc. Since they start at 4:30-5ish, 10ish is lunch to them. I speak from experience.

geenpunchbuggie	Posted May 27th, 2009 at 11:04AM i did work there years ago. breakfast ended at 11:00 on saturday and sunday. i guess during the week most people are out of bed and have had breakfast by 8AM and they figure that people who go to work REALLY early will want some sort of lunch item at 10:30 (i.e.-- they go to work at 4AM and maybe want lunch early?). However, the reason they end breakfast so promptly is because the meat for lunch occupies the same space as the meat for breakfast, and lunch takes up the whole space when it's finished.
