    I am guessing for the heat and they are cute like that.My one cat sleeps by the vent all the time.

    Heat, vibrations, because it is yours, and now, Tgilly tells us you don't even have a cat. Still all of the preceding are good reason's for a cat to behave in this manner.

    Sometimes warm, and the humming sound is rather relaxing. I find myself falling asleep to mine often.
