Seems like she doesn't care, she could be depressed, unorganized or just lazy, you need to ask her if you dare.

I have been trying why she is doing this. Get no answer,my sister has been doing this for years. Her husband cleans up after her also. I am so tired, I broke down crying asking her what I did to her, to treat me in this way.

I had a neighbor in the country who was severely depressed when she had a stillborn child, she wasn't young and it was probably the last chance for another child. She let her kids collect animals, they had 15 dogs when we moved down the road from them, later it was chickens, cats, a cow, some goats, and I don't know what else. The dog count went up to 150, mangy dogs carrying distemper (my sisters registered Collie pups got it, they were too young to vaccinate at that time & they all died). Their home was a sty, and trash and junk all around the house, it had been remodeled and was a nice frame home when they moved in. The husband worked two jobs to pay for animal food, the wife stayed home all day and assigned chores that never got caught up. I guess depression can do strange things to someone. It came to an end when a police officer moved across from them and reported them to animal control, who filled up the back of their truck with dogs that showed signs of disease, they caught 35 that day and estimated a total of 150. Those people moved out in less than a week taking all their animals with them. Funny how they couldn't clean up their place but could move so quickly. The house was sold cheap, gutted and remodeled.

She probably has A.D.D. People with A.D.D struggle with those types of things. It seems really simple... just get up and do it, but it's not that easy. If she's been this way all her life it seems like that may be it. A.D.D and depression go hand in hand too. You should have her talk to a therapist and figure out what the real issue is. I'm sure she doesn't like being called lazy and messy. I'm sure if she had the energy to do these things she would vs. having people angry with her and talking about how she is, ya know?
