Why does so many poeple hate Hannah Montana?

Because she is mentioned by name in the Book of Revelations as the anti-christ.

Because it's percieved as the cool thing to do.

i like her.. but i'm starting not to like the way she's acting now. she's doing way too much for her age.. n why does it seem like she's been 16 for years now? or is it just me? lol. anyways.. i really don't think that she's a good role model for young girls anymore.. by her having an 18 year old boyfriend.. dancing on poles.. n just dancing way too sexy for her age..

I sure don't hate her, no time for that, and she's not part of my world.
This can hardly be called art, more like an insipid product directed at 10 year olds in love with a bigger girl.

Actually I wish her the best as a person, and in her talents and career. But I dislike the hype around her for several reasons:

1, she doesn't sing well enough: genetically she's been gifted with the voice of a 30-year-old country superstar, but her skill with that voice is full of poor habits and limitations. She should be able to use that voice with the skill it deserves. And instead people are throwing more money into making her concerts and music videos glitzy. When they should be getting her the best singing coach there is. A voice you are born with, but the skill to use it is learned.

2, her dad is coddling her, and so is the media. She's the darling, untouchable. But the music/entertainment business is one of the most ruthless in the western world, and so that's setting her up for a very nasty wake up call when people move on (maybe once she comes of age) And sooner or later the public, industry and media move on and expect those stars to "prove themselves" and to do something different. Show they've grown up. Show they have more to offer and are worth all the time and adoration. Prove their 15 minutes shouldn't be up, and see if they can handle gossip and slander on their own. It happens to every star, it's a trial by fire. They should be teaching her how to deal with the dark side of fame, and not sheltering her from it. It's natural as a father to want to protect, but this isn't preparing her for it all.

3, she's a bit spoiled. She cried at the kid's choice awards because she was afraid she wouldn't get anything! Most people aren't even nominated. Yes, it's harsh, but that's life. And the life she's living (in the jaws of fame and hollywood) is one of the harshest ones out there. She's obviously used to being loved, adored, praised, coddled and awarded. Someday soon that bubble is going to burst and she's gonna be hurt so badly. And that really makes me mad, because the people around her should be helping make that easier for her. They should be looking ahead and preparing her for reality. And instead they keep reinforcing that bubble, but they can't protect her from the world!

4, everyone wants to invest in her talent rather than cultivate other talent as well. She's not the only one who can sing in her age group. We need more variety, but it's like the studio's can't see past the shiny appeal of finding one amazing voice...so they are neglecting the search to find other talented young people. We don't need one or two stars and role models. We need dozens. So that bugs me.

So that's most of why i don't like Miley Cyrus hype. I don't think it's fair to her, and the whole thing makes me cringe. Plus when I saw "Hannah Montana" tv show I didn't like the low quality of acting, writing, and direction. She has an amazing voice, she's pretty, and I hope she gets some better training and survives the storms ahead for her career even though she doesn't see them coming. And I'm really mad at the people around her who aren't helping her enough to handle that crazy world of fame!

Hannah Montana is a little annoying because Miley Cyrus talks way too country playing her character. Miley Cyrus as herself is a good singer in my opinion and I love her new CD.
