I think it's a bit of both and it appears ro be contagious in that country. Just a couple of days ago an EP er posted a question that said, "Which country are you from, the USA is the greatest country in the world." The USA has a history of committing human rights violations and don't see it as that. However, the states feel it necessary to intrude in matters that rarely ever concerns them.
