Why does the US make it their business to chastize Russians for human rights violations?

Is that arrogant or self righteous?

I think it's a bit of both and it appears ro be contagious in that country. Just a couple of days ago an EP er posted a question that said, "Which country are you from, the USA is the greatest country in the world." The USA has a history of committing human rights violations and don't see it as that. However, the states feel it necessary to intrude in matters that rarely ever concerns them.

I think it's great to talk about such things.

But when you invade countries like Afghanistan and Iraq you've crossed a line into something else.

And yet I see many Americans signing petitions to deport Piers Morgan because he advocated gun control measures. The US can get on Russians for human rights violations, but heaven forbid a UK citizen voicing an opinion on gun control.
