Let me clue you in on a little secret here... There is always someone, some where, that cannot or will not accept a member of this, that, or the other group. For some it's personal preference, some religious reasons, and others because it's a day with a y in it. We are all different. Celebrate that instead of worrying about why someone else doesn't like you. Besides, all that you will get from worrying about other people's perceptions of you are ulcers.

Because there's a lot of misunderstanding around it, and what people don't understand, they generally fear; what they fear they usually condemn.

For one thing, many people are afraid of change, they are afraid of new things, and they are afraid of things they dont understand.
Secondly, (and Im not trying to be nasty here,) Being gay is not, (or wasnt in the past,) the norm. The norm is guy and girl, not guy and guy or girl and girl.
Thirdly, I think many people have a misconception of gays. Many people feel that gays are perverts, would be child molesters, etc.
I am not gay. But I do not respect less those who are. I personally know some gay people and they are good friends of mine. If they are happy with their choices in life and with their lifestyle, who am I to interfere? Even if I do not agree with it, I will still respect them. They have the right to as they choose and I would defend that right.
We are still all part of the HUMAN RACE and we need to accept others for who and what they are and work together to make this world work.
