because there is NO power grid ... lol
hhmmm ... solarpower ... at new moon ... lol
Interesting idea. People have estimated $50,000 per pound to haul stuff to the moon. Imagine a sign big enough to be seen from earth, and a solar panel big enough to power it. You'd also want to be able to lease the sign, so you'd need some communications gear so you can change the logo or whatever. (oh, and it's probably not neon, because you want to be able to change it. Probably super bright led's or something.) Say, maybe 1000 pounds of stuff all told. So that's about $50 million to get the stuff up there. Say you want to be making a profit after a year or so. So that's about a million bucks a week. How many companies would pay a million a week to advertise on the moon? Not many I think. Probably not a good investment.<br />
Of course, the real problem is that the EPA would stop you.
Because then our government would have to admit they have a secret space program that extends to much more then just the moon.
Hmm... I like it. Saying "Here lie the remains of the Clangers. Thus always to the Enemies of Man."
Cuz we never went there. It was a hoax.
have you heard of the 'already occupied' theory?
that would be a symbol of man's folly
Not enough passers-by :(
