Living with mate brings up every issue.
If, and only if, we learn how to listen, communicate well and solve each problem as it arises, conflict ends up helping us know and love each other better.
In this way, the relationship gives us the chance to grow in maturity.
What we avoid, we never learn.

Because sometimes hoping for an ideal is all we have.The ideal of meeting your soulmate and being together for the rest of your lives is a beautiful wish.Just because it usually doesn't happen, because who you married turned out to be a sociopath isnt the point.At least you strove for an ideal.It is better to strive for the stars :-)

Our human romantic hearts fill us with the desire and convince us it will all have a happy ending.... If only they made it as tedious and difficult to get married as it is to get divorced I think there would be way more thought and emotional investment put into marriage...and maybe divorce rates would go down!!
