We were going to but then "they" thought that since America was getting such a bad rep with the Arab nations that a Muslim president would be better. So they placed one in office.
give ita couple more elections, the illuminati will put a woman in that spot to distract us from their dark dealings, its why barack is a president....
They haven't learn to play with the boys yet.
Probably because there hasn't yet been a female candidate with a name like "dangerbabe"!
Because it is hard for a female to get the necessary backing from those who pull the strings from behind the scenes.I myself would have no problem supporting a female cantidate for the presidential office. We had a peanut farmer and one who had unusual ussage for cigars in office. So perhaps a female would actually be a step in the right direction :o)
Americans' are very slow to change and slow to trust. Sexism is still very prevalent in this country. Truth be told, women can ALSO be women's own worst enemy, just ask any honest male and they will tell you this is unfortunately true. We had very viable female presidential candidates when Elizabeth Dole and Hillary Clinton ran. But as the results show, when we have to choose a president race becomes less of an issue than gender in this country. American's have evolved, to a SMALL extent, regarding the terrible practice of racism, but have not evolved as much regarding sexism. Even though there are many factors that go into choosing a president (likability and party affiliation being just two factors) American's seem to feel more comfortable with a man in this office than a female. In my opinion, if Hilary were to run again in 2016 she would be one of the most 'qualified' individuals who EVER ran for presidency. She is an attorney (as were many presidents, including Obama), a former first lady for 8 years, a senator and secretary of state. The only two qualifications she does not possess, that other former presidents' have, is she is not a farmer or a veteran. There is also this 'likability' factor when it comes to Hillary, as many people claim they do not like her for one reason of another. As for other female candidates they would face similar obstacles (accused of having a lack of qualifications, likability, etc.). Though many of the male candidates may not be as qualified, or not as liked as the female candidates, they would still have a better chance of winning. So then, I wonder, what qualifications do ANY female, of any race or political party, have to have to become our first female U.S. president? Oh yes, they have to be a man!!!
Because politics, like most businesses in the USA too, are primarily dominated by a preponderance of men, many of whom have "Old School Tie" associations. It's a real tough nut to crack.
The Glass Ceiling most definitely does still exist for women and non whites!
We learned from Margaret Thatcher.
ireland is keen on female presidents too
Probably they will eventually, but look how long it took to elect the first black president! Probably if the Founding Fathers could be resurrected, they would be in utter, absolute shock over that.
Same reason black folks got the vote first... (of course they needed 3 to 1) Men are more threatened by ANY woman and will accept any male of the species first. A man could have a dug addiction and a traumatic brain injury and chosen over a woman!
Why would someone not vote for someone they found "threatening"? They don't have to work with the president or worry about her getting their promotion.
PMS + Rockets = No No.
This is a man's world....
...but it wouldnt be nothing without a woman or a girl.
because we live in a sexist society
because we live in a sexist society
(insert sexist PMS joke here.)
Because men don't have enough faith that women can do the job.
The U.S. subscribes to herding theory. It endorses greed and the best strategy to face animal greed is herding. Our President is the puppet alpha male.
