because in the animal kingdom the goal is survival at all costs. humans unfortunately let their emotions over power this natural instinct
We are not. Animals do it too
As humans we have the best understanding of ourselves. We often don't like what we see. But maybe we're not the only species that has this strong understanding of self. Maybe other creatures commit suicide as well, just in the same way humans do or maybe not for the same reasons.
lemmings and pilot whales? Pods of orcas. Dolphins. All recorded acts of self destruction
Whales too. Mass suicide.
Animals have other creative way of suicide. Like is the driving range I used to practice the birds will always find a way to be right at the spot where I aimed. It's like they wanted the golf ball to break their neck.
it's not, there are plenty of animals that do
Every other species is to smart for that.
ants kill themselves
Other animals can sacrifice themselves or die of despair, but generally they are busy fighting for basic survival.
