Why is he like this?

i stay at my boyfriends house alot. i come to see him not sit here and type on my laptop while hes doing 3d design (for fun) and when i say im bored he gets all upset and takes it really personally, but never does aything about it. also when i say i wanna go home (he usually comes with) he says 'but i want to stay here' so i tell him to stay and ill go and he replies with 'but i want to be with you' grrrr so im guilted into staying here and being bored

why is he like that? cuz you are allowing him to be like that!
when you plan to go to his house, you tell him, I will come over if you agree to spend time with me and not doing all your 3d designs. If you want to do designs, then I will not be coming over. I will do something with someone else and when you are done with those designs, you call me and maybe we can see each other then...

It sounds like you guys don't share hobbies. He may be fine with this and doesn't realize that "just hanging out" isn't as fun for you as it is for him. Find some time to talk with him about it when neither of you are preoccupied.
