Because even on line, we're just people, so the odds are not any better here than in real life. <br />
But on like does open possibilities and exposes us to people that real life might not, so in that way it increases our chances of finding someone interesting. <br />
They are out there. I've met all kinds of people that are interesting, caring and real on line, even when I wasn't looking. <br />

Two possibilities. The same people are online AND offline. (Hmmm...) Or, you are just not charismatic.

Many people are simply intimidated by other individuals, particularly women, who are intellectual and able to actually hold their own in a conversation. Or, have views that may be different from theirs.
because the people online somehow seem to be uninterested in what you have to say, they don't really want to go through all that effort of becoming a potential friend. sad actually..
