    because there are already 20 negative things being toss at you regulary it's harder to over come that becauuse for every negative thing you need to think of at least 10 positive things to counter act that.

    Negativity is a habit, not a natural state of mind. It is unfortunately taught to many children, who eventually lose the positive attitude with which we are born and adopt the negative habit of parents. These dark habits can be unlearned, but it requires growth in new directions, and that is hard for many people to accomplish without nurture from others around them. However, once the hard work is done, being positive is actually easier.
