boys shouldn't be called wimps or sissies for crying; crying is merely an expression of pain or hurt in one's life; of course, boys and men are going to experience that kind of deep trauma throughout their lives, and they should be able to express it fully without being judged. Guys who hold in their feelings for fear of being criticized may be more likely to turn their pain into rage.

we're "supposed" to be weak and emotional.. and our culture preaches that crying is representative of that. For the record though, I don't really know any 'criers' in real life..it's not even really culturally acceptable for women to cry in most situations in my experience

is to true women cry to let out emotion and men use aggression to let out emotions ?

some people of both genders do both of those.. I suspect it has to do with how you were socialized as a child.... because, realistically... some of both men and women experience strong emotions... Just like some men and women are cold

It has been scientifically proven that women are more emotional, so its acceptable for women to cry more

Best Answer

Because men are seen as the one that must be strong while women are more socially accepted to let out their emotions.
