boys shouldn't be called wimps or sissies for crying; crying is merely an ex
we're "supposed" to be weak and emotional.. and our culture preaches that crying is representative of that. For the record though, I don't really know any 'criers' in real life..it's not even really culturally acceptable for women to cry in most situations in my experience
some people of both genders do both of those.. I suspect it has to do with how you were socialized as a child.... because, realistically... some of both men and women experience strong emotions... Just like some men and women are cold
It has been scientifically proven that women are more emotional, so its acceptable for women to cry more
Because men are seen as the one that must be strong while women are more socially accepted to let out their emotions.
Men think. Women feel.
Culture and society decide what are gender norms.
