cause my buddy an his gf are fighting they were out shopping an a store clerk commented on his gfs outfit no big deal he didnt get rude nothing later on different store a store clerk commented my buddy on how he looked his gf blew up an they been fighting ever since so i thought it an wanted to see what people had to say

I see. Sounds like your friend's girlfriend overreacted big time. It may depend on how the complimented is presented too. If someone complimented her man flirtatiously with obvious interest to him, it still wouldn't be his fault.

i guess men are much more generous in lavishing compliments on us women,than we do on them..

I agree with spyder baxter. I think women forget because they are used to having all the attention. Or sometimes, the exception is that they are just super shy/ can't think of what to say fast enough.

Maybe I didn't receive the memo on this? What's wrong with receiving a compliment on both parties' ends? Unless one party doesn't like to receive compliments, a compliment is a compliment. It doesn't have a stigma attached to it- unless we attach one ourselves.
