Why is it so easy to find caring people online but not in your neighborhood?
I signed up with EP earlier this year and I just logged on about two weeks ago. I've shared on EP like I have with people in my neighborhood...and even family...but people kinda (for lack of a better word) "run" from me.

Because on here I don't have to worry about my looks offending or scaring anyone. Here I'm totally free to be ME.

Many reasons....Because here you are annoyomous, and there is a vast majority of us who are lonely and a lot dont want to admit it because it makes us sound like we are inadequate but we can express things that you wouldnt in normal conversation that help us know we arent alone

There are millions of people online, but only few hundred people in our neighborhood. Moreover, our neighbors are busy with their care online.

Because you chose your online neighborhood; people of the same mind and interests; where as you don't chose who lives in your neighborhood. People are usually too busy and tied up in their own situations. Online is at their convenience, thus more relaxed :)

there are more people online than in your neighborhood im guessing. andodds are on a sight like this your most likely to find someone who knows what your going through. I come here because people in my family are far away, and i dont care to talk to my neighbors... they WILL find me weird.

The nature of this kind of site acts as a filter. Pretty much only those people who want to get involved come in here in the first place, and those who are looking for mischief usually don't stay long.
