Because the evidence is obvious.
I've been amazed at the lies people have told me.
Here's just one example.
A trainer wants me to pay extra for shoeing the horse.
I say but the has has no shoes on.
He says they fell off.
I ask, then why are there no nail holes in the hooves?
Then he says oh all right then no charge for the shoeing,
but still doesn'tt admit that it was a lie to start with!
I've eventually realised that these people don't realise other people can observe with all their senses and put two and two together.
They're like small children who ardently believe something is so just because they believe it to be so.
Causes vary from stupidity, to brain damage.

LOL ...

You know ... Usually, I hear this when the person who says it is *desperately* trying to avoid being discovered they have told a lie. LOL There is a train of thought which says the person who denies telling a lie without first being asked if s/he did usually *is* the one who has told a lie ... hahahaha
It depends on the situation. People believe, some don't and some pretend not to. It all depends from who it is coming from and what's in the middle of it. EG: If the Government would tell you something and then I or someone else would tell you something different ... who would you believe? The Government because they are part of the law. Does it mean, whatever its been said is the truth, definitely not.
