Why is it that when you are nice to anyone, they take it as a license to blow you off?
Even the people who seem the most nice themselves do it. If instead you treat them somewhat badly (which btw we're not talking about extremes), they make more of an effort for you. Why does expecting others to be civil and friendly have to be so completely counterintuitive?

unfortunately, we live in a world where too many see kindness as weakness.

Maybe you are being too nice. It makes them think you are weak and they are better.

Perhaps they blow you off because they think that being kind is a weekness. In a world where it seems to be the norm and generally accepted to be rude and ill mannered. In the streets, misbehaving children, Gordon Ramsey the list is endless.

Sometimes, for your own good, you have to turn off the nice switch and look out for yourself.
