Resolved Question

Why is no one afraid of what happens after death?

Am I missing something? After you die there are so many things that could happen and yet no one is worried about that. I am. I don't want to to tortured for eternity or left to wonder or made to endlessly oogle some deity in eternal bliss (that just sounds boring). Am I the only one who fears the after?

All these concepts you talk about are based on man made religions that use these theories to get people to follow their creed by threatening with eternal damnation if they leave or perpetual bliss if they pay their dues. I am not religious so I am not afraid of the religious aspects of the after life. Rated: +3Vote for this!

In other words: why worry about an environment you know nothing of when you could be focusing on another one you at least might have somewhat of a clue about? Rated: +3Vote for this!

ukko	Posted Aug 30th, 2009 at 11:33PM I m not worried a bit....You just cross over and then stay on the other plane , figure out the issues you need to work on and just hang out there until you choose to be born again..unless you can reach higher level of spirituality and then you don't have to do it all over again... it could happen that you will miss ice cream or some other worldly things...yes...that would be something you need to worry about... I think that the afterlife should have no bearing on how you act in your life, and you should be a decent person just because. If anything, I'd probably leave as some wisp of thoughtless energy.
