"All?" Ron Howard turned out OK didn't he?
Justin Timberlake and Christina Auguilera seem to be pretty normal celebrities.
Because they never lived a full normal childhood.
Because they don't get to be kids when they're kids. Throws the whole system outta whack.
Let's see...I assume they've been pampered all their life, had everything paid for them, had all contracts signed by their rich parents, etc. They don't live in reality by their own accord, they're more forced into it, to embrace the fame and money and stardom...to accept it all because it's what THIS reality is all about, money money money, recognition, idolization and all that jazzicrap.
They have missed out on their childhood and doing the normal things that a child should do..it's very important they have someone to keep them grounded.
As far as i know elijah wood and leonardo dicaprrio have turned out ok.
Proberly because they miss out on a childhood being paraded round like a prized pony having everything given to them on a plate missing on crucial devolopment has a person will undoubtable cause issues has you get older
A huge factor in a child becoming a star is that they are cute and precocious. Once they grow out of that the offers dry up.And there career goes downhill from there. That's ONE aspect.Another is they are simply exposed to much more of the world and life that normal kids . And they also see a dark side of life in the movie business, it's just hard to resist temptations like drugs and alcohol especial because most of the popular ones have all that money and even power. It takes it's toll.
in some novel i once read, the author suggested that one of the worst feelings is knowing that your best years are already behind you, and nothing in your future will ever be as good as what you've left behind.
imagine reaching that point at age 14.
don't forget that show business is full of creeps like roman polanski. even the best of them are greedy selfish narcissistic and manipulative. sex maniacs, alcoholics, cokeheads, mental patients.
surrounded by bad influences like that, and with parents who will let them go into that kind of cesspool, it's hard for a showbiz kid to get a proper upbringing.
i agree with some of the above opinions, but also in many cases when they outgrow the roles they played as kids or teenagers, suddenly Hollywood doesn't want them anymore and they can't figure out what else they want to do... The world can be a cruel place sometimes.
