Because most Americans don't know how to relax and enjoy the fruits of their labor. We always seem to be worried about who has this or that, in comparison to what we have. Well....not all American's, but the majority of my fellow countrymen have that mindset. I gave mine up long ago and do without a few material extras, but I enjoy all the time I get with my loved ones. They are worth it!

You're lucky its only forty hours. Labor unions fought hard for that otherwise we'd be working at least twelve hours a day. Certain influential elements want to ban overtime and go back to those days with all workers receiving pay cuts.

Sometimes I do more than 40 hours per week, but the pay is nice in the end!
