Why is there a huge ad pop up on the left side of the page wherever I go?

It is so irritating. Every few minutes an ad pops up on the left side of which ever page I visit. It follows me everywhere! Like the ad of vodaphone, "Your network follows you everywhere". No thanks, I don't want any ads following me.

tassiedave66 is right..Use Firefox and use the AdBlockPlus add-on. I don't see a single EP ad.

Do you mean only visiting any EP page or any other web page too ? If it's the latter, it's something else. Even then, Firefox with AdBlockPlus is a good solution.

I get it only on EP and that too since last 2 days. I use firefox so I just need to check about the AdBlockPlus. Thank you.

Do you have your computer set to block pop ups? I only get them, if I changed this setting to "allow pop-ups."

yes I do. These pop ups are only on my EP account. And only since 2 days.

I know there are people on here who ask you to go to their email address, and apparently they are spammers. Whether that would affect your EP account, I don't know. And this may not apply to you anyway. I now have these moving ad bars on when I connect to the site from my phone. Really interferes with reading stories, otherwise haven't seen any pop ups.

lucky you. Even I have turned off pop ups and this is happening since 2 days so hopefully they will be turned off.
