consideration with who? the media? I'm sure investigators are looking at everything and not treating it like a reality show like the media is.

The same investigators who refused to release the name of the cop but did release the security video from the store?

Best Answer

No, the FBI
I already know you have come to a conclusion even though the investigation is ongoing.

Well you called it a murder, when no one has been charged with it.
It sounds like you have predetermined this case.

Murder is intentionally killing a person. 6 shots to an unarmed man - 2 to the head - is intent to kill. Dress it up and side step the issue because some white people think a black life is not worth as much as a white one - it is murder. Your kind of disregard for the life of this young black person is pure evil that grips so many whites - just as we saw in the Trayvon Martin case. Gold help your heart.

very little of the accounts of what happened should be released right now; the eye witness testimony should be kept sealed in case of a grand jury deliberation or trial. you don't ever reveal all you've got to the public; you want a fair and partial jury.

no matter what is said and done now ... everything is said to be screwed by the cops! Damned if they do , Damned if they don't!

It is given consideration. Its just considered less reliable than police testimony.

Pretend we aren't talking about Ferguson.
A police officer has gone through a long process of background checks and training to establish his/her right to uphold the law. They have a documented process of doing so and are legitimized by the courts. (As in the judges say, I believe the words that are coming out of your mouth Mr. Policeman)
A member of the public does not have this reputation. Additionally some members of the public that have been in trouble with the law have the opposite reputation. Also they might be trying to protect their own butt; how many people do you know that have lied to protect themselves or their image?

In Ferguson there may in fact be a case of racially motivated action. That cop may be a racist.
All of these protests are good because now if there is racism in the system over there, anything they do in this case will be watched by the entire nation.
So what they are going to do is review the stories, review the police officer, review the evidence and make a decision about what the hell happened.

In the end, so much of life is 'He said, She said'.
You have to decide on your own who to believe

THat doesnt have the same application when the policeman has killed someone - that stands in court when the cop comes after the crime, accesses what happened and makes a report. White cops dont treat black people the same way they treat white people - there is no denying that. Studies, experiments, and history have proven this since the inception of this country.

This cop is being investigated and is in trouble. Eyewitnesses have no stake in lying on a cop - nothing to gain. THey could just keep their mouths shut and be safe. But they are talking and the white police force that wants t protect their white cop who was cowardly enough to shoot an unarmed man 6 times. SO they are going to do hat they can to discount witnesses and degrade the victim.

That is real life in America for black people.
