They do both. Much more difficult to adopt kids. Must meet requirements where many of those who can birth naturally could never meet them.

I knew a woman once who worked at the same company I did. She said she would fight to the death for her pets, but never for another human being. She wasn't a very nice person to people as far as I could see, but I'm sure to her pets, she was much more warm and hospitable.
