Because people are strange, hence I won't even bother trying to understand the logic (or lack of). If they're someone I care about, I'll do what I can to look out for them regardless of whether or not I like the other people they hang around with.

LIFE ISNT CENTERED AROUND ME. (oops caps lock) They can love who ever they want i dont care.

I think I would be have to be a megalomaniac and incredible narcist to tell others that I care about that they shouldn't love someone that I hate.
But I don't know why they would love someone you hate, neither do I know why you'd hate someone they love. There can be all sorts of reasons for this, and the worst thing you can do is to assume that your feelings toward the person are more important than theirs. That would make you an *******, period.

everyone is entitled to love whoever they want with or without your consent.
but then again, they may be doing it just to spite you ;)
