Why, seemingly, do people recount their "séxual conquests" as if they went on some kind of epic journey..(details..)
and captured the Golden Fleece..it's like a notch in a warrior's axe..kind of disturbing. Obviously not ALL people do this, just seems pretty common..among men mostly, though some women do it too. Is it because séx has replaced violence..so they need something to serve as a vain, self indulging reminder of their "prowess"?

Well, my everyday life is an epic journey, so if I had sex with someone (not an everyday occurence), there would most likely be one hell of a story to go with it. I once went on a 7 hour trip just to find a lighter, because every single ******* store I stopped at was completely out.
When going out for some late-night gas station nachos, I fell in a creek with banks too high to climb out of, and had to Viet Cong down the creek for nearly 2 miles to find an exit, whereupon I startled a snapping turtle out into traffic where it was mortally wounded by an ******* in a red Nova who swerved to hit it and I had to mercy-kill it with my pocket knife as it writhed in a pool of its guts and shell fragments, all while I was tripping balls on shrooms. That **** was burned into my brain. I don't drive by that road anymore because I start to tear up, but I digress.
Some people really are that happy just to have gotten laid, and others think it makes them look better. Vanity plays a part for some, but others seem to do it only because they feel it's expected of them. And sex didn't replace violence; violence has always been about sex.

Being the object of the opposite sex attraction constitutes confirmation of our most cherished desire; namely charisma and/or sex appeal.
Charisma can take us very far, not only amorously, but even at work, at play, and almost everywhere else; this said, doesn't it seem natural that our sexual conquests should count as an integral part of who we are and how we got there?
Placing high value on our sexual record is not necessarily a bad thing.

There is a saying
'Talk fills the action gap' . SO they talk where they lacked action. Just a psychological trait.
