No. It's not dissing anyone. Back then, it seemed okay because it was but slowly over time, it's come to the realization that it's not okay to do the things we call bad today. Like saying the N word..I remember as a kid, my parents would use that word all the time to describe a black person but they where using it as an actual word, not a racial slur. It was like calling someone Asian or Caucasian.. <br />
Or like saying the now homophobic word for a gay person. Back then, it wasn't anything.<br />
Or calling someone who was handicapped the R word. <br />
These where all correct words for someone back then, but slowly overtime had been misused for hate.
Not learning to spell disrespects your elders too.
Progress, education, etc., made modern life more aware of 'wrongs' that were considered okay in the old days, so laws were brought in to update these, but then certain 'do-gooders' in high places decided this could be great for their public images, so we now have far too many silly 'bans' on things that made life fun & did no harm back in those old days! :-)
