    Because it is the ego that holds you back from experiencing the wonders of the universe. The self is a cage..a body that lives for a while and dies, the soul, or spirit, or consciousness, or whatever you wish to call it, is what's eternal. We build our ego based on our memories and experiences..but it's really a lie.

    As most of the people wrongly thinking ego is not the dark side of pride. EGO is the SELF identity...It is the feel of "I' in ourselves or in the other words it is "I'ness in us. It is three fold. 1. Beastly identity..2.Human identity...3. Noble identity.
    1.The lowest or Beastly identity is harmful. 2. Human Identity is OK. 3. Noble Identity is really noble which we can see in only great men of all ages. That is Noble Ego and is essential for the human welfare.
