Because you may be hurting them more than you're helping them.

if they seriously WANT to die, i personally don't believe i should keep them from their goal... if someone ***** with me or my family then theyre dead to me and if they keep ****** with me or my family they'll be dead to the rest of the world too

I agree. Life is precious from conception until death. Preserving it is mans duty.

It would depend on the patient's prognosis, desires, and mental health. That is a very broad question with no information. Could you elaborate or be more specific? There have been situations that as a volunteer I have witnessed that are complicated and should only be answered by the patient and their family. Each situation is unique.

It depends on the situation. I have worked very hard to keep people alive at times--people who were suicidal but still saw good things in life--and people have done me the great favor of working hard to keep me alive at some of my darkest moments.
But when my mother was 95 and dying of pancreatic cancer, none of us (family, medical personnel) even thought of giving her anything but palliative care, making sure she was comfortable while she went through the process of dying.

It depends on what you're talking about here. If someone is dying, and a paramedic is trying to save their life, then everything within reason should be tried.

But, if a person does not want to live, really and truly, due to mental or physical pain then it's a quality of life issue. No one has the right to keep someone alive if they really want to die. I'd say that's torture.

I think we should! however a point can arrive where one can only do so much, and if that person decides to end it all, we have at least tried our best, that is all we can do.

Becos if someone is suffering,..and wants to move on to the next world,..then keeping them alive regardless,.is tantamount to torture, and against the laws of kindness, decency and nature.....
Using god as an excuse,.is an evil misuse of gods name.
Often i notice that the do-gooders are also war-mongering bigots..If they do hold extreme fundamentalist views in regards to compassionate death,..then maybe they should sign away their own rights to euthanasia etc...and leave everyone elses destiny out of it.

It's a very personal and individual choice, that's why I'm a big fan of living wills. I believe it is very important for people to make their wishes known to their loved ones. I would not want to be "kept" alive especially in a vegetative state.

I think you should do everything! even if the person is suffering and truly feels his life isn't worth living, putting an end to his life isn't gonna make things better, if we believe there can be miracles and things can always change for the better, we don't even really know what tomorrow will bring, you can do a big favor to the poor person, and I'm pretty sure one day he'll thank you for that!
