I have had a friend that thot TGs and Hermaphrodites were the same thing. Ad to that the image in **** and all that the Hermaphrodites are seen in and that can really cloud the idea that TG's are caught-up in. The average person will never "know" they have met a TG unless the TG has had the full transformation or they tell the person they are TG. It's just too much "preconceived notions" by those that are not believing that TG can actually make the choice to be happy the way they are-that there is no such thing and so not to be happy as a man in a man's body , to say you are trapped like a genie in the wrong bottle is seen as freakish.

Of course this is wrong but many folks just do not get it and till it hits close to home, a family member or other loved one-they are able to hold what they think is the high ground. Sad actually that TG are looked at in this way and made to be unhappy-many ancient cultures held the TG person in high regards and even in high positions in the clan/tribe. They were seen as mystics-able to see both the Male and Female sides of reality, teachers in social and sexual behaviors. I think we as "civilized" societies miss out when we make these types of "HUMANS" so unhappy about themselves that they feel the only thing to do is go get operations to match the person in the body with the body and not see their uniqueness and what that uniqueness can contribute to the species.

Ok....here goes...I presume that your from South Asia or of that heritage? There's an Indian comedian stateside...his line is...I'm Indian...I'm gay...I'm f*****d Sadly those who are gender blessed, exceptional or full on transsexual are by and large deemed as transgressive.. The world is living in its dreams and those who don't quite fit the expected mould take a fair pounding in so many ways... There's far too much to explain here... Your answer...yes, we are all human beings.... Some of us are prejudiced against..colour, class/caste, gender the list goes on.. At the end of the day....your truest self is...your soul ...pure undifferentiated light...

it's too confusing for a lot of people.
with sexism, racism, homophobia, and religious intolerance it's easier to define why they are uncomfortable. they can't even figure out what they don't like about it.

That is a lie you don't speak for every TG person and plus they can figure out what they don't like about it.

aaaa-deep breath,...., with all due respect Alex1993, I think Lucinnda is using "they" as in the folks that are judging or can not figure out TGs, not TGs themselves.
