Why when I love someone do I turn into a retard and can't talk to him ?

Personally, I don't think its that complicated.
awkward, confusing, emotional, yeah, maybe a little.

Compatibly sharing LOVE is not easy.
You may be "hyper sensitive" as you mention, but its ok to be wary. You are not mistrustful, you just want to be sure.

More people should spend more time and conversation regarding feelings and beliefs before engaging in higher emotional commitments. If your love is reflected back to you in this time and conversation period, you will feel less awkward. If someone else understands that about you, they will take their time getting to know you.

If not, then getting more involved might lead to a more painful, confusing and sensitive experience than the one you mention here.

Just talk and spend some time with the person.

There are probably two things contributing to your situation. As pointed out, you fear rejection by the one you love. Are you from a broken home, aparent who died when you were young, or a parent who did not demonstrate their love for you? In other words, did you feel rejection as a child?

The second is often associated with the first -- perhaps the people upon whom you modeled yourself as a young child were not good at communicating with each other and maybe even with you. We learn from our parents how to communicate by seeing how they themselves communicate.

Telling you to simply overcome your feelings will probably not fix the problem. If this truly is a problem in you life and in particular in your relationships, then you need to find a good counselor who can help you learn ways to overcome your past and improve you ability to communicate with you partner or love-interest.
