He is pre-existent life and creation is one of His qualities.
If there were no creation, He would not be living.
If creation existed before Him, He would not be pre-existent.
If creation existed after His wish to create, yes He would be incomplete.
Mysterious realities like these cannot be conceived without His divine Education bestowing before the asking of His creatures.

The bible says GOD is love..I believe he made us out of love so that we could love one another and bring glory for Himself and so that we also by loving one another can bring glory unto HIM!!

Which "god"? The Egytptian god Atum is described as "pulling creation" out of himself while m@$sturbating, so you can kind of draw your own conclusions there.

In fact I find that to be a much more loving motive than other gods, such as the popular christian one, who just need to create something in order to have something to hate and loathe.

Guess that's what happens when good myths go bad.

He doesn't need to. You also don't need to create (or heal !!) cancer in your body, as a god of that one. But sometimes it just happens for some reason...

Why do we always ask impossible quetions about God? If you define God as something that doesn't need anything ...then why does he/she need something?

Well what if I don't define God as Having everything, knowing everything and being evertything for all time, and before time....

We take near prehistoric writtings from barely civilized cultures and hold their words to define an unknown quantity. What ever happened to God being a far superior being? What if God didn't know everything but simply seemed to from our perspective?

I bet if dolphins or dogs could reason and communicate, they might think we're "gods". Heck even humans have worshipped other humans because they believed there was a GOd on earth...

To answer your question...If God was in actuallity complete or represented "completeness"...there would be no need to create anything. If God is everything and we are part of that ...we complete God.

If you factor time sequence, as in God preceeded humans...then consider yourself...You may be complete...but you still change...everyday. Psychologically, physically, chemically...yet you are, everyday, the perfect representation of *SammyLou4U*

It's these types of questions that are asked from those who try and debunk Gods existence. Now in your personal case, you might feel as though your being curious as to who God is and why he does the things he does, but how can you expect to answer such a question about the one who created you in the first place?

You need to stop looking into these things so much and just have faith in who he states that he is. He means what he says, and does what he says he is going to do. He is a just and righteous God.

PERIOD!

God doesn't need to create. He created you because He wants to. He created you prettier than average, with a free mind to write on EP, and with a lively personality. God want us to be grateful for all of these.

I believe it is not a matter of the Almighty God NEEDING to create but instead, WANTING to create.

Love is such a deep part of Jehovah God that
1 John 4:8 says: "God is love." Not that God equals love but He IS love; His very nature or essence is love. God's cardinal qualities are love, power, justice and wisdom. However, the bible does not state that God IS power or God IS justice nor God IS wisdom. Jehovah HAS all those qualities to a superlative degree but what motivates His use of those qualities is love, unselfish, principled love.

So, while it is correct that Jehovah God is complete and self-contained, lacking nothing that someone else might supply. He WANTED to share the joy of life by giving life endowed with free will to creatures intelligent enough to appreciate having life. Jehovah CHOSE to express love by creating; His first creation being His only-begotten Son, later called Jesus Christ. (Colossians 1:15)

What does creation reveal about God?

God who is complete in himself created us so that he can love us and share all that he has with us.

If memory serves, I think the Bible says God created man as sort of an entertainment thing. Hey, if you could create the Heavens and the Earth anytime you want, you probably would seek out unusual forms of entertainment when you get bored. Man wasn't entertaining enough by himself, sitting around on the couch with a beer and the TV remote watching football on Sundays...so God created a woman to interact with man...and we all know what that led to....LOL!
