Why would men choose to go to prostitutes this day and age with all the STD's out there. I don't care how man?

Good question. STD's aside, I have to wonder why men want to go with a prostitute at all. So many women involved in prostitution are there either because they have been forced into it, or must feed an addiction, or have no other recourse to feed themselves or their families.
Prostitution has been around since time began, so there is definitely a constant market for it and it cannot be eradicated. I think if it were legalised it would decrease the dangers both to the prostitutes and to the clients.

I don't know. My boyfriend is a cop and the other afternoon he saw a guy trying to pick up a known prostitute who has an STD. My boyfriend decided to give the guy a break and pulled him to the side and said, "Look man, she's got an STD, you need to go elsewheres," The man told my boyfriend he didn't care she had an STD, he wanted to be with her! When my boyfriend told me this, I about fell out of my chair. Crazy world!

I do not want to answer this question because I do not know the answer. What i wonder is why do people always say Prostitution is the World's oldest Profession and has been around since time began and suggest it will never end! it annoys me that is all! It means nothing, Is a self fulfilling prophesy or a truism. On this basis nothing could be changed or argued against. Prostitution is about relative power and wealth and is horrible if prostitutes want to do it or not! IMHO!

Prostitution is legal in my state. The health department checks up on the girls all the time to ensure they are disease free - however, it doesn't guarantee the "customers" aren't disease ridden!

Prostitution is legal here and the government issues a card to sex workers so they have to get a medical checkup every month and all..cant figure ot why anyone would still want to do the prostitutes in Thailand though because it is a known fact that aids is a big issue there..we've always got stories in the paper here about men who went over to Thailand, got aids from a prostitute then passed it on to their wives.

I think they like feeling nasty and gross. And then they get the Doctor's bill. Too bad.

It goes the same for women and casual sex......std's have been and will always be around......so I guess for some it is better to live and have fun than be careful *shrugs*

It's morally wrong and it's medically stupid. But their main customers are married men. The sad truth is that a huge number of wives in the Western world think they have no duty to put out at all for their husbands. The old conception of conjugal rights and duties as found in the Bible (Proverbs 5:15-19 and I Corinthians 7:3-5) and in law was not sexist : the rights and duties applied to both partners. But feminism has convinced women they can say to hell with their husbands' needs and self-esteem and still look themselves in the mirror and say, "I'm a good person--even a goddess--who deserves my heart's every desire!" As long as this prevails, prostitutes will have plenty of business. And as long as it's well known that girlfriends are better lovers than wives in America, you're going to be fuming about the difficulty of getting guys to commit, ladies.

Perhaps they have a partner who can't or doesn't want sex and they don't want to form a relationship with someone else...perhaps he can ask her to do things he couldn't ask his partner or knows she won't like...

I don't see the difference between going to a prostitute or having a one night stand....

Chances are cause high end escorts take better care of themselves and more likely to take precautions more often than an average bar *****
